Questions Regarding the Regulation of Homeopathy
I've received a number of queries from BIHC students and grads concerned about aspects of HPRAC's decision.

One issue of concern: Will distance learning be credited towards entry requirements?

There are many who have done part or all of their studies with BIH Canada and everyone has studied by distance learning in whole or in part. BIHC was the only or one of the few schools of Homeopathy in Canada at one time. Presently, all of the schools have developed distance programs. Distance learning is conducted by universities and colleges across the board so it is widely accepted.

I am getting many emails with questions and although I wish I could predict the outcome of all of this, I can’t. What I am doing, however, is taking an active role in the process on behalf of BIHC, our students, our grads, and homeopathy in general. I think that the document has been a favorable one in that it gives us room to implement our own ideas and fine tune the existing issues. Grandfathering is certainly one of the bigger issues and it will be dealt with positively. To tell you whether or not there will be qualifying exams or to speculate on the outcome of decisions to be made on the other issues is not appropriate.

There will be, as you know, a Transitional Council set up. It is very important at this time that the members of the council come together and make unanimous decisions especially where there are questions left up in the air. Let’s pray that can happen and work towards it.
