Course Outlines: Animal Health Diploma
This unique distance learning course focuses on the theory and practice of the homeopathic treatment of large and small, domestic, performance, and farm animals.
The course is presented in two parts - a Basic Certificate course and an Advanced Course. Successful completion of both Modules leads to the award of the Diploma in Veterinary Homeopathy, DVetHom. The duration of study is calculated at approximately 14 months.
Eligibility
Basic Course: This certificated course is open to veterinary surgeons, pet owners and all those responsible for the care of domestic animals. It does not constitute a license to practice!
Advanced Course (Full course): The course is open to Veterinarians, pet owners, and all those responsible for the care of domestic and other animals for personal interest. According to local regulations only Veterinarians may be allowed to use the designation DVetHom. Non-Vets will be designated DIHom.

Basic Course: The syllabus covers the theory of homeopathy, the treatment of domestic pets at home, and animal First aid:
Introduction to Veterinary Homeopathy; Principles and Philosophy of Homeopathy; Sources and Preparation of Homeopathic Remedies; Decimal and Centesimal Potencies; Introduction to Animal Constitution; Basic Veterinary Materia Medica; Home Treatment of Pets for day to day ailments, including Dogs, Cats, Rabbits and Birds; Animal First Aid; Veterinary Organizations; Homeopathic Veterinarians.
Award: Successful students are awarded a Certificate in Veterinary Homeopathy.
Advanced/Full Course (Includes the Basic Course): The syllabus covers the homeopathic treatment of all farm, performance, and domestic animals, including cattle, sheep, pigs, horses, cats, ostriches, and other animals:
Homeopathic treatment of dogs, cats, horses, cattle, poultry, and of small animals; Constitutional Homeopathy in Veterinary Practice; Modalities; Veterinary Case Histories; Animal Case-Taking; Research and Development in Veterinary Homeopathy; Repertorizing; Veterinary Data; Computerized Homeopathy; Animal Nutrition; Abbreviations; A-Z Clinical Repertory of Animal Treatment; General Information; Nosodes in Veterinary Practice; Practical Homeopathic Pharmacy;
Award: Successful completion is awarded with a Certificate in Veterinary Homeopathy and the Diploma in Homeopathy DIHom (non-medical practitioners).
Licensed Veterinarians are awarded the Diploma in Veterinary Homeopathy DVetHom.
